When I was setting yearly goals in January I wanted to be really intentional about what challenges I would be joining, and #pleinairpril was a no brainer.

Painting from life for a whole month felt like a daunting challenge at first, but I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I set a simple rule for myself: not to feel obliged to draw every single day, but rather as many times as possible.

I got to explore some beautiful corners of my country, but learn to see beauty right in front of my nose as well.
